can gingivitis spread to your throat



 Gingivitis can spread to the throat and cause pains in the throat.
 Gingivitis is caused by the presence of a plaque, a plaque is the accumulation and building-up of bacteria.
When there is a collection and accumulation of food and debris  as a result of tooth decay or a wisdom tooth, this food will decay and bacteria will build-up, when this happen, a condition called pericronitis can occur.
Pericronotis  is the inflammation of the soft tissues surrounding a partially erupted tooth. This infection can spread to the throat  and cause more pains.
 Gum diseases are usually painful  it is characterized by painful and bleeding gums, bad breath and rapid onset pain. If left untreated can spread and cause extensive damages.
Bacterias accumulated due to gum diseases can cause  throat diseases called the strep throat.
